Liam and Zayn

Liam and Zayn (goats). Arrived 29 January 2016

Liam and Zayn are brothers who found themselves in the care of Happy Hooves Farm Sanctuary after Zayn had his leg broken by (we think) a horse, on his previous owner’s property in Toodyay. She was unable to afford the vet bill for the treatment, so contacted us to see if we could help.

We took them both on and arranged immediate veterinary treatment for what turned out to be a reasonably straightforward break to his right front leg (radius and ulna) fixed with a simple  but full-length cast – at first it was feared the blow had shattered his shoulder and he would have to have been euthanised.

Liam was very happy to see his brother back in the yard with him after their separation and they are enjoying the shade, water and abundant feed!

We will try to find a suitable home for them to move onto together after Zayn has fully recovered, but as is always the case, if nothing can be found, they will always have a forever home here with us at HHFS!

Would you like to help us to take care of Liam and Zayn?  One off donations and sponsorship gifts are available now to support our work. Thank you for caring about farm animals.
