King Louis (Bantam Black Rosecomb rooster): Arrived 2012
We were contacted by a woman in Darlington who had raised a chick who turned out to be a rooster – living in the suburbs, she was unable to keep him due to council regulations and he was at risk of being put down if no home could be found for him. We had recently lost our rooster to a fox attack, so it was kind of an upside to that loss, that we had room and took him in.
He has turned out to be a real gentleman… if you’re a hen! but he tends to attack all male humans. Thankfully, he seems to like the laaaadies (human) – so us gals get to have a good laugh at his attack launches on Paul and Ric – they don’t call him “the Ninja” for nothing.
Would you like to help us to take care of King Louis? One off donations and sponsorship gifts are available now to support our work. Thank you for caring about farm animals.
