Shaggy

Shaggy (Angora goat – male): Arrived 4 June 2014

Shaggy was surrendered by a Perth Municipal pound after being found abandoned in Woorooloo by rental runner and picked up by the shire. He remained unclaimed and a home was not able to be found for him. He was earmarked for “destruction” (off to the “meat man”), so naturally we offered him a safe and loving, secure forever home here at Happy Hooves Farm Sanctuary.

Shaggy came to us as a castrated goat, age unknown (possibly old) and possibly Angora Goat. He was in very poor condition, with eye issues and very skinny, stinky and listless (not three new additions to the Seven Dwarves). We fed him up with great food, clipped problem areas, wormed him and dosed him with a restorative and appetite stimulant, B1 & B12 and he gradually became strong and healthy. Shaggy lives with the rest of the goat mob: Rupert, Thurman, Gary, Beau, Jangles and newest arrival, Pogo.

Would you like to help us to take care of Shaggy?  One off donations and sponsorship gifts are available now to support our work. Thank you for caring about farm animals.
