Baart (sheep). Arrived 5 June 2015
Baart is a gorgeous brown and white Damara lamb with markings that remind us of Bambi. He found his way to Happy Hooves Farm Sanctuary after being reared from day one by a woman (who we’ll call “L”) whose neighbour’s sheep gave birth to twins and then rejected them both (normally due to ill heath or malnutrition, but we are unsure of the reason in this case).
Baart’s sister was raised by the neighbour, whilst L reared Baart for the first eight weeks of his life. She surrendered him to us because she didn’t have the time to dedicate to him that she knew he would need.
Two weeks later, Arnie the muscle-bound white Dorper lamb arrived and these two became instant head-butting mates! Arnie isn’t the only one Baart likes to head butt though – he has got a few of the workers and volunteers a beauty!
Would you like to help us to take care of Baart? One off donations and sponsorship gifts are available now to support our work. Thank you for caring about farm animals.
