Princess Layer and Lindsay Lowhen (Isa Brown hens) Arrived 30 Oct 2015
These two chicks came to us from a school hatching program – two of thousands of little lives hatched from eggs for the sole purpose of demonstrating the wonder of life to school children; alas the life lesson of how to then take ongoing responsibility for these lives you have purposely brought into existence is never part of the program. The male chicks hatched from these programs are even harder to find homes for and face a much darker future.
We loved these little bundles of fluff that moment we laid eyes on them and will continue to love and care for them into their secure, well-cared for old age.
