Arrived 14 November 2012 Freckles was originally surrendered to us with 5 other sheep – Mary (deceased), Minty (deceased), Lucy, Kel and Kath) and two alpacas, Jack (deceased) and Julio. They came from a lady who had hand-reared all of them, but due to illness needed to surrender her entire flock. Fuzzy (sheep/ewe): Arrived 2011 Fuzzy arrived with two other ewes – HiTops and Flopsy. They were owned by a resident in Parkerville who had them on his property as “lawnmowers’. They would often be moved to our property when our neighbour’s feed ran out and ultimately ended up with us permanently when there was just no more pasture for them. They were also much safer on our property with better fencing – Flopsy had survived an horrific attack by a roaming dog before coming to us, So all three came…
Maggie
Maggie: Arrived 2002 UPDATE 3 June 2015 Maggie lived a long life, well loved and cared for, but alas her arthritis, her blindness, her age and a really bad turn one morning in June 2015… well it got us to the point where consideration for her life quality and comfort, along with veterinary advice pointed towards the same sad but necessary conclusion… it was kinder to humanely euthanase her than for her to continue living in constant stress (from her blindness) and pain. It was with a very heavy heart…
