Mish (pig) Arrived 14th November 2018 Mish arrived in back of a ute early Wednesday morning, and took a few timid steps into her new life here at Happy Hooves. Perth Pig Save‘s contact at a local slaughterhouse arranged her release through their network. She is the second sow to be released by the pork producers, the first being Carol pig who began a new life at Greener Pastures back in January. Up until today, we’re unsure if Mish has ever felt the sun on her back…

Anton
Anton (pig) Arrived 17th August 2018 Anton did not a have a good start to life. He came to us at about one week old, unable to properly use his hind legs to walk or stand due to a possible spinal injury. We gave him around the clock care and time, but he didn’t show any signs of improvement and we discovered that on top of his existing ailments, he was also blind. Anton was taken to the vets again after a few days and it was determined he was…

Lola & Bindi
Lola & Bindi (pigs) Arrived 16th June 2018 Back in June we were contacted by the staff at a Perth pound. Two pigs had been impounded and the owner did not want to collect them. With nowhere to send the pics, the ranger asked if we could provide the abandoned pigs with home. As we’d just about completed our pig extension on ‘Pig Paradise’ we were in a position to offer the girls a home. When we went to collect the girls, we noticed…

Lulu
Lulu (pig) Arrived 24th March 2018 At 3 weeks old, Lula was found on the side of a road with a fractured tibia in her left rear leg. She needed urgent medical treatment and was taken to Murdoch’s Animal Hospital. While Lula’s leg healed she had to be confined to a small space to prevent her from using her leg too much while it healed. After three weeks we increased her space in increments as her leg improved. Lula made a full recovery, running around Pig Paradise…

Bella & Dana
Bella & Dana (pigs) Arrived 3rd February 2018 Bella and Dana were much loved companion animals. Bella was purchased by her previous owners as a piglet, and later she was joined by Dana who was a rescue pig. The girls had lived with their previous owners for years, but unfortunately their owners were experiencing ongoing health problems within the family, and reluctantly they needed to rehome their dear girls. After months of advertising the pair, we were unsuccessful at securing a loving home for them, so we offered them a…

Fred & Mali
Fred & Mali (pigs) Arrived 15th of December 2017 These handsome boys were on our rehome list for sometime. Their previous owners had become increasingly busy with other commitments and no longer had the time to spend with Fred and Mali. As we’d just finished our ‘Pig Paradise’ extension we decided to offer them a forever home here at Happy Hooves Farm Sanctuary. The boys have settled in well and have made lots of new friends. Would you like to help us to take care of Fred and Mali? One…

They decided that they wanted to find her a nice home, where she could live out her days and so they contacted us. Camilla had a friend-to-be waiting for her at the sanctuary, little Eloise who had arrived a few…

Sally
Sally (pig) Arrived 26 October 2016 Sally was only three months old when found for sale on a social network site. Someone alerted us to the fact and after speaking to the other sanctuaries, we agreed to take her with the condition that, in line with our rescue policy, no money was to be paid for her. Her awesome rescuers managed to talk the vendor out of $300 and into surrendering her, and she is now safe from harm at her new forever home, Happy Hooves. She is WAY too…
