Jasper

Jasper (goat) Arrived: 20 January 2017

Jasper was a wild goat discovered in bushlands, with no mother in sight. Luckily for him, he was discovered and brought to Happy Hooves by some compassionate people.

At just four weeks old, Jasper needed to be bottle fed three times a day. Paul (HH Manager) had the honorary duty of being “goat mum”, and Jasper refused to be fed by anybody other than him. Jasper has grown so much since he arrived, but is still a big sook! He is now down to just one bottle in the evening, and will soon be weaned completely.

The lamb twins, Joey and Jasmine are Jasper’s new “housemates”, the three share a small paddock in our isolation area. This is where they will live until they are big enough, and strong enough to join the adult flock/herd of their species. Although Jasper is smaller than the lambs he fares just fine, often playing and bunting with Joey.

We’re very happy to add Jasper to the Happy Hooves family. Here, he will always be loved and cared for, surrounded by friends for the rest of his years.

Would you like to help us to take care of JASPER?  One off donations and sponsorship gifts are available now to support our work. Thank you for caring about farm animals.
