Jackie Jackie

Jackie Jackie (goat) Arrived 8 June 2016

Jackie arrived at Happy Hooves with Rosemary and Billy McLeod. They were surrendered by their previous owner because she had to move and start a new job and sadly couldn’t take them with her. This is what she had to say about Jackie:

“Jackie was originally found with his deceased mum on side of the road – he was still attached to his mums umbilical chord. He was hand raised and when I got him at 4 months Jackie would hang out with my dogs as he was too young to be with the older, bossier goats. Jackie loved hanging out with the dogs they were best mates and he would join in and come inside to lay with them on the dog beds. He is very friendly and comes to his name, you can approach him at any time. He is great with other animals as he used to ride in the car (along with the dogs and other goats) for trips to the dog park. Once Billy arrived Jackie and he become the best of friends, which made Jackie very happy as he now had a goat mate that didn’t boss him around and protected him from the girls. Jackie was de-horned when he was young (sadly) but they are growing back now. He has one horn that now grows into his head and needs to be regularly trimmed to avoid injury. Jackie is a beautiful boy who is very tame and loves his goat family.”

Jackie Jackie, Billy McLeod and Rosemary join our trip of 14 other goats! When we first opened the sanctuary here in Gidgegannup, we had two: Rupert and Thurman.
