Rehomed! Molly, Stewie & Dyson are heading to their New Home

Molly, Stewie and Dyson will be heading to their new home in Forrestfield this weekend. They will moving into a lovely green paddock where their new carers can see them from the house. We hope these three enjoy a long happy life with their new family <3

Location: Woodridge

Molly, Stewie and Dyson have lived together most of their lives, and have become inseparable. Molly was rescued off of the roadway approximately five years ago. Having escaped from a flock of Damara’s from a neighbouring property, and ventured into her now carer’s property via the front gate. The original carer’s tried to catch her, but eventually gave up and she has remained at the property ever since. Stewie was the next to arrive, after a family member in Geraldton asked if they could take in a rescued lamb as company for Molly. They agreed, and Stewie duly arrived in the backseat of their car with kids keeping him company for the drive home. As a lamb Dyson was also rescued from the roadway outside of the property. He could be heard on the other side of the fence crying, trying to get inside to Molly and Stewie. The owner’s opened the gate to him, and so they found themselves the carers of three sheep.

Molly gets very distressed if she is separated from the others. She is quite skittish and is wary of people and dogs; she was obviously traumatised from her experiences prior to her current home. Stewie is the most sociable of the three; he is laid back and used to human contact. Like Molly, Dyson is also very unsure of humans and dogs. He looked up to Molly growing up and has learned from her to be wary of both.

The carer’s of Molly, Stewie and Dyson are now in a position where they need to rehome these beautiful creatures. Age and health issues are catching up with them, and they are struggling to maintain their property and have no choice but to relocate to a much smaller residence. The couple are yet to place their property on the market, as finding a home for these three first is paramount to them.

Molly, Stewie and Dyson have recently been sheared and will be vaccinated and wormed before handover to her new family.

QUICK REFERENCE LIST:

NAME:              Molly, Stewie & Dyson

AGE:                 Molly – approx. 6yrs; Stewie – approx. 5yrs; Dyson – approx. 4yrs

SEX:                 Molly – female; Stewie & Dyson – male

BREED:            Molly – Damara; Stewie – Damara x Marino; Dyson – Merino

WEIGHT:          45-60 kgs

WORMED:        Yes

DESEXED:       Molly – no; Stewie & Dyson – yes (castrated)

VACCINATED:  Yes

TEMPERAMENT:  Molly – timid/skittish; Stewie – friendly; Dyson – timid/skittish

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:  The three must be rehomed together, separation causes Molly and Dyson much distress. Sheep need to be sheared and crotched annually, and feet will need trimming.

ADOPTION FEE:  $100

We hope you can help us to help these lovely sheep .. Please fill in the form via the “APPLY HERE” button below if you would like to know more, or offer to adopt.

Adopted! Valentino has Found a New Home

Update: On the 16th of November Valentino was transported to his new home, with a loving family in Bullsbrook.

Location: Perth

In February this year, a stunning 4 year-old gelding ‘Valentino’ was purchased by his current owners for a pleasure ride. The young gelding was presented to them by the seller as sound. Unfortunately, after initial training by Karen White at Mohegan Centre and a vet report, it was discovered that he is lame and unable to be ridden in order to manage his pain levels and elongate his quality of life.

He has been diagnosed with performance limiting lameness associated with his lower joints of the right-front limb. He can no longer be ridden as this puts pressure on his back and joints causing him discomfort.

Prospective adopters will be offered full disclosure of vet reports and trainer reports and any information they require.

Valentino is a sweet boy, with a trusting and kind nature and loves a cuddle and a brush. He is also great with other animals; dogs, cats and other horses.

Valentino has been my first horse every! I am nervous around horses and I find that by spending time with Valentino, my confidence grows. He has an extraordinary ability to console and comfort me when I am walking with him, or around him.

Horse trainer Karen White, mentioned he would be a great ‘Healing horse,’ assisting disabled people, or those with a lack of confidence, as he is very smart and sensitive horse and acts accordingly with different people.

Valentino will be vaccinated and wormed before handover to his new family, and an adoption fee of $50 applies.

QUICK REFERENCE LIST:

NAME:        Valentino

AGE:           5 years

SEX:            Male

BREED:       Quarter Horse X Thoroughbred (True Black)

HEIGHT:      15hh (approx.)

Adopted! Beautiful Bella has a New Home.

UPDATE: Bella has been adopted! She will soon be moving to her new home at Calan Horse Sanctuary in Highbury. We’re sure she will be very happy there.

Bella is a beautiful chestnut mare in need of some tender loving care. She is shy and timid at first, but will calm down once trust has been established.

This lovely girl was sold to her owner six months ago as a riding horse. However, her age and behavior towards riding, illustrated that she needs to retire and enjoy a peaceful life as a companion animal. The current owner has concerns that she may have been abused by her previous owner, hence why she didn’t return Bella to them after the trial period.

An experienced horse owner, with a gentle and loving nature is what Bella needs.

Volunteer photographer Amanda met Bella a few days ago for her photo shoot and said “I met Bella the Chestnut horse and she was lovely. Friendly, curious and quite the personality… You can see a few shots of her telling me off for sticking the camera in her face lol.”

Bella will be wormed and vaccinated before handover to her new family and an adoption fee of $50 applies.

QUICK REFERENCE LIST:

NAME:                   Bella

AGE:                     19 years

SEX:                      Female

All three will be wormed and vaccinated before handover to their new family/s, and an adoption fee of $50 each applies (less if they are adopted as a pair, or threesome). We really would prefer mother and daughter (Panda & Possum) to be homed together.

Rehomed! ‘Baby’ the Pig

Baby has found a lovely new home at Gidgegannup.

Location: Perth Western Australia

Sweet Baby is a little pig in need of a new home. She was rescued by her current family from an unfit environment where she was not being cared for adequately. Although her family adore her, due to work commitments they are unable to give her the attention she needs & deserves. Baby has been raised alongside the family’s dog, and consequently seems to think she is a dog too as she runs around and barks just like her yard mate! Unfortunately the two don’t get along as well as the family had hoped, thus being another reason we need to find a more suitable home for her.

Baby will be wormed, vaccinated and sterilized before (or soon after) handover to her new family and a heavily discounted adoption fee of $250 applies. Sterilisation is needed for her long term health, wellbeing and to ensure she stays even tempered and as friendly as can be.

QUICK REFERENCE LIST:

NAME:           Baby

AGE:              5 months

BREED:         Saddleback Pig

SEX:              Female

HEIGHT:        60cm (approx.)

WEIGHT:       45kg (approx.)

WORMED:     Yes

DESEXED:     No – but needs to be as part of adoption agreement

VACCINATED:  Yes

TEMPERAMENT: Friendly and playful. Full of energy.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:  Baby is quite bonded to her current family so she will need a lot of TLC in her new home to help her transition and to feel safe and loved. Baby needs a lot of attention so would most suit a family that has time for playing and cuddles, or who may have other animals or a pig to keep her company. Pigs are strong and adventurous so they need a good secure yard that can not only keep them in and safe, but to protect areas of your garden that you do not want demolished. 🙂

ADOPTION FEE:  $250

We hope you can help us to help this lovely pig .. please fill in the form via the “APPLY HERE” button below if you would like to know more, or offer to adopt.

Rehomed! Queen G and Gigi

4th May 2017

Update : Queen G and Gigi have been offered a new home with a lovely family.

Gorgeous Oliver pig and his two goat friends Gigi and Queen G have found themselves looking for a new home. The owners of these much loved pets are struggling with health issues within the family, and due to these unforseen circumstances, they are unable to provide for the delightful trio long term.

Oliver is available to adopt on his own, but it is preferable that the two goats are adopted together. Gigi was a rescue goat and was hand raised by her current owners. Queen G was purchased as a companion for Gigi, so the pair are quite bonded.

Oliver is incredibly friendly, he loves human interaction and wants to be around humans all the time. Gigi is also very friendly and loves human company, whereas Queen G can be rather skittish when meeting new people. However, she comes around quickly when she sees yummy treats!

All three animals will be wormed and vaccinated before handover to their new family/s and an adoption fee of $50 each applies.

REHOMED! Little One & Pooz – two moos who need a home

UPDATE: We were unable to find the right home for these special girls. So Little One and Pooz have recently been given a new home at Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary, not too far from their original home. Where they will enjoy the rest of their days together.

Little One and Pooz are two adorable old girls who have found themselves in a pickle. They were originally purchased and bred as pets to keep the grass down, and both have done a beautiful job of fulfilling their roles for their owner. Sadly, Mark is now selling his acreage and the new owners do not want the girls to stay. The bad news is we need to find them somewhere safe and loving before the 8th of February 2017!

The white girl has some issues with arthritis and they are a bonded pair so it would be perfect if we could find them a home together and with owners who can take care of arthritis issues. Both girls are used to sharing a paddock with sheep.

Little One & Pooz will be vaccinated and treated for parasites before handover to their new family and an adoption fee of $120 applies (negotiable with the right home).

QUICK REFERENCE LIST:

NAME:   Little One & Pooz

AGE:   18 & 19

BREED:   Murray Greys

WORMED:   Yes

DESEXED:   No (not adoptable for breeding)

VACCINATED:   Yes

TEMPERAMENT:   Quiet and friendly

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:   URGENT PLACEMENT! Both are getting older and one has arthritis so these cows would be best placed together, but not with other cattle to avoid injuries. They do however enjoy the company of sheep.

ADOPTION FEE:   $120 for both

We hope you can help us to help these lovely cows, please fill in the Expression of Interest form below if you would like to know more, or offer to adopt.

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST WITH ANYONE YOU KNOW WHO MAY BE ABLE TO OFFER A WONDERFUL HOME.
