Rehomed – Ivan has found a Forever Home

Ivan has recently relocated to Toodyay.

Location: Perth

Ivan is a lovely little Barnevelder cross feather-footed bantam. He was hand reared along with three other chicks – Ivan is the only male in the little brood.
As his current carers live in suburbia, they are not permitted to keep roosters at their residence. Despite trying different methods to reduce his crows, they are worried that he will be discovered, and authorities will take him away. They are very fond of this little guy and are eager to find him a loving home.

Ivan will be wormed and vaccinated before handover to his new family, and an adoption fee of $20 applies.

Gorgeous Ducks Need a New Dwelling

Location: Perth

Peking ducks DJ and his female companions Squeaky, Louie and Nilla are currently in need of a new home. They are much loved companions, but sadly due to unforeseen circumstances, their owners’ are no longer in a position to keep them.

These four ducks are hand reared and therefore are very sociable and comfortable around humans. They have wonderful personalities. DJ and his friends have enjoyed a close relationship with their humans, from donning “duck nappies” and hanging out inside the house to going for road trips in the car.

The more time you give, the more love you get back from them“.

DJ loves cuddles and nibbling on toes (but not everyone’s) the owner’s think of it as a kind of “love tap”. Squeaky is very smart and has a huge personality for a little duck – she thinks she is the boss! She also enjoys a cuddle, and loves to run around and go for a swim. Louie has a beautiful nature, she can be a little nervous around new people or things, though she is very loving and playful when she feels comfortable. She loves bugs! Nilla can also be shy around new people but loves to talk and cuddle when she is comfortable, and she loves her lettuce!

We love each one so much. They have so many quirks, we can sit and play with them for hours, they are able to be hand fed and picked up – they love cuddles“.          – Owners.

Four Handsome Drakes in Need of a Home

Location: Perth, WA

These four gorgeous boys currently live on a property in Mariginiup, where they were born and raised. Regretfully their owner needs to rehome them as they are giving their female counterparts a bit of a hard time.

Ducks can be quite aggressive when it comes to mating, so the drakes will need to be homed where they cannot physically be in contact with female ducks. Despite this behaviour, they are placid and non aggressive toward humans, preferring the company of their own kind.

The drakes will be treated for parasites before handover to their new family and an adoption fee of $20 per duck applies.

QUICK REFERENCE LIST:

AGE:                         6 – 12 months

SEX:                         Male

BREED:                    Ducks

WORMED:                Yes

DESEXED:                No

VACCINATED:         N/A

TEMPERAMENT:     Placid (when away from females), preferring the company of each other.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:  Male ducks (drakes) need to be homed away from females to avoid aggressive mating behaviour. Alternatively a single male can be housed with multiple females (at least 4 ducks) however these drakes are not intended for breeding, so egg collection is a must.
Ducks need secure housing at night that protects them from the elements and predators such as dogs and foxes.

ADOPTION FEE:  $20 each

We hope you can help us to help these lovely ducks .. please fill in the form via the “APPLY HERE” button below if you would like to know more, or offer to adopt.
