As at 7th July, Vinnie has been taken in by a truly lovely couple and joins a menagerie of sheep, pigs and dogs. He is on trial for 1 month (standard procedure) and if all goes well, this will be his forever home. Well done Vinnie – your future looks golden.
This adorably handsome fellow was found by his current family when he was around 6 months old as a stray. He had a wounded (torn) ear, hence the very clever and apt name of “Vincent Van Goght” – or “Vinny” for short.
After spending a year with his current owners while he recovered from his ear injury and keeping their doe company, Vinny is now looking for a permanent loving home. Here’s what Rob has to say about his story:
Vinnie is an absolute sweetheart. He loves his food and has been lucky enough to indulge in a little too much goat muesli from his milking girlfriends. He has sired one kid (sannen mother) and is wonderful with her. He is only a very small buck so we think he may have some miniature in his history. He absolutely ADORES his people! Immediately after entering the pen he will run up and demand a scratch behind his horns. If you stop paying attention to him he will scratch his own head by rubbing up against you. He also play butts and never makes actual contact. He has been good around children so far, but like any animal I would not allow the interaction to be unsupervised. Vin has always been housed with other goats, and we would only like him going to a home that has at least one other goat. He gets on absolutely fine with poultry and dogs! He will make a gorgeous pet and will be dearly missed.”
It would be great to find this guy a super loving and happy home, especially if he could have some goat friends to keep him company.

* Animal Actionist promotes non breeding of all rescued animals, particularly in the interest of breaking the cycle of unwanted farm animals (most of them males,) that find themselves with little time to find a new home and end up in danger of slaughter. All farm animals adopted via Animal Actionist are intended as family pets, and therefore the same rules that apply for non breeding of cats and dogs, applies to these animals too. If you apply to adopt you thereby agree and are bound to not use this animal for breeding.
All suitable applications are forwarded to the current custodian for consideration, and you will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss your offer further. Please understand that it may take a few days for us to respond to you depending on the amount of applications received, and it is never a case of first come, first served with animal adoptions, as we have to do our best to locate the absolute best homes for the animals.
