We were unable to find anyone interested to take Billy in, so he has been introduced to the goat herd at Happy Hooves Farm Sanctuary. This “mixed bag” collection of rescued goats have allowed Billy into the group without too much trouble – all was sorted after an hour or so of sparring. (It’s ok, nobody got hurt – this is the way of goats.) ????
Billy seems very happy and we are happy to have him, he deserves a life of friendship, love & protection. Welcome Billy!!
Billy was a stray goat who was found roaming Whiteman Park on a stinking hot 44deg day, he was overheated and exhausted. He was quite friendly, so the lovely folks from Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary were able to give him a rest in the picnic area where he enjoyed brunch and rehydration. He was then transferred to Happy Hooves Farm Sanctuary where he has been living during his recovery from the ordeal, and to ensure his ongoing health for the future.
Billy has now been vaccinated, drenched (wormed) and desexed and is ready to start looking for a truly wonderful home to move to. He’s a funny chap – and he’s still coming down from his Billy Goat hormones (i.e. friskiness), but we think he’ll settle right down soon. He is really great with other goats, seems gentle and protective of them so his ideal home would be to join a small herd of loved companion goats. He is located in Perth Western Australia and available for local adoption only.
Adoption Fee: $75

* Animal Actionist promotes non breeding of all rescued animals, particularly in the interest of breaking the cycle of unwanted farm animals (most of them males,) that find themselves with little time to find a new home and end up in danger of slaughter. All farm animals adopted via Animal Actionist are intended as family pets, and therefore the same rules that apply for non breeding of cats and dogs, applies to these animals too. If you apply to adopt you thereby agree and are bound to not use this animal for breeding.
All suitable applications are forwarded to the current custodian for consideration, and you will be contacted as soon as possible to discuss your offer further. Please understand that it may take a few days for us to respond to you depending on the amount of applications received, and it is never a case of first come, first served with animal adoptions, as we have to do our best to locate the absolute best homes for the animals. If you have any problems or further queries, please contact Animal Actionist direct via the “contact us” link. Thank you so much for caring for animals.
