Very happy to write that Rory has officially found his furever home – and is also officially a ‘foster failure’ 😉 Meaning, his foster family fell in love with him and have decided to keep him – and who could blame them 🙂
Rory is STILL waiting for his forever home! If you can adopt him or know someone who can, please contact Bec on 0405 164 598 or Mel on 0439 672 700. Thank you!!
Update – September 2011 – I have received word from Bec that Rory is in a foster home now and has settled down well.. he is still looking for someone to adopt him.
Please share around this HIGHLY URGENT call for help for this beautiful boy. Do YOU have room in your heart and home for a lovely boy in desperate need?
Help needed, this gorgeous boy URGENTLY needs a home or experienced foster carer.
Please forward this around to all your friends and family in the hopes a miracle comes up in the next day or so for the boy we have named Rory.
Rory was rescued from Wanneroo Pound on Friday 3/6/11 as there were no alternative for him other than euthanasia. He was apparently showing signs of becoming more anxious over the two weeks he was in the pound but this seems to have become more obvious since we have taken him in and our vets kindly offered to kennel him for us.
He is now having to be sedated as hes extremely anxious in the kennels and causing harm to him self where he is ripping his nails off and injuring himself to get out. He will need someone who is home all the time or can take them with them to work, he will not cope being left alone for long periods. He seems to be fine when hes with people and relaxes. Seems ok with some dogs and loves to play ball.
Behavioural training and plenty of walks, game time, a herbal rescue remedy and a good quality natural diet with high amounts of Vitamin B, plenty of fresh raw meat, veges rice /and or pasta will aid with his anxiety.
We may have no other option than to put him to sleep soon due to the situation he’s in as we cant watch him to continue to cause damage to himself. This is a last ditch effort to save his life… everyone says he’s such a sweety with people and extremely placid when he’s with them. We dont want to have to make this decision as we are for no kill but we also have to consider his welfare and being sedated in kennels is not fair on him and no life to live.
We are pleading with people to share his story as we dont have much time.
Please call Bec 0405 164 598 or Mel on 0439 672 700 if you can help.
